Prepare your artwork for production.

Follow these simple guidelines to help us produce the cleanest, sharpest result possible.

Start with the right file.

The better your artwork file, the better your final product. These are our preferred file requirements.

Preferred file formats

AI, EPS, PDF, SVG or high-resolution PNG files are preferred.

High resolution

Raster artwork should ideally be supplied at 300 DPI and at the intended print size.

Clean artwork

Make sure artwork is free of unwanted backgrounds, extra elements and hidden layers.

Outline your fonts

Convert fonts to outlines when submitting vector artwork to prevent font issues.

Artwork requirements by decoration method.

Different decoration methods require different artwork preparation. Select your method below.

DTF

Great for detailed, full-color artwork, photographs and gradients.

BEST FOR Full-color graphics, gradients and detailed artwork
FILE TYPE Transparent PNG at 300 DPI
Artwork should be supplied at or close to the final print size.

Embroidery

Best for logos, names and clean designs that translate well into thread.

BEST FOR Logos, uniforms, hats and branded apparel
FILE TYPE AI, EPS, PDF or high-resolution PNG
Very small text and fine details may need to be simplified.

Screen Printing

Ideal for bold artwork and larger production runs.

BEST FOR Bold graphics and larger quantities
FILE TYPE AI, EPS or PDF
Spot-color artwork is preferred for many screen printing projects.

Sublimation

Designed for vibrant, full-color artwork on compatible polyester products.

BEST FOR All-over prints, sportswear and polyester garments
FILE TYPE High-resolution PNG or TIFF
White polyester is typically required for full-color sublimation.

Vinyl

Great for simple logos, names, numbers and bold shapes.

BEST FOR Names, numbers and simple graphics
FILE TYPE AI, EPS, SVG or PDF
Very small details may need to be adjusted for clean cutting.

Keep your colors production-ready.

Color can look different on screen than it does in production. Here's what you should know before submitting your artwork.

RGB artwork

RGB artwork works well for digital files and full-color DTF printing.

White artwork

White elements should be intentionally included when you want them printed.

Gradients

Gradients can work well with DTF and sublimation, but results vary by process.

Transparent backgrounds

Use transparent backgrounds when you do not want the artwork printed as a rectangular shape.

Size your artwork correctly.

These are common starting points. Final dimensions depend on the garment and decoration method.

A few more things to know.

Yes. Converting fonts to outlines helps ensure your artwork displays correctly when opened on another computer.

Send it to us anyway. We can review the artwork and let you know whether it can be cleaned up or recreated for production.

In many cases, yes. Depending on the artwork, we may be able to make production adjustments or recommend a suitable solution.
